# Update a task

`PATCH /tasks/{task_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://catalyst.stratogenic.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://catalyst.stratogenic.ai/tasks/{task_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Updates a single task in the tenant’s execution state.

Only whitelisted fields are applied (e.g. title, owner, priority, stage, domain, tags).
The update is recorded in the execution ledger and emits a task.updated event for automation.

This endpoint is designed for human edits and external automation tools such as Zapier.
