# List Sessions

`GET /v1/teams/{team_id}/sessions`

Sessions by last activity. The worker holds the conversation; the
grant and the record stay Stormy's — `uses_delegate_harness` marks the harness lane.

`surface` asks for ONE ROOM (`channel:view/taxes`). A chat client opening a
page needs the newest session on that surface and nothing else; without
this it asked for a hundred and kept one, which cost the phone 284KB and
4256ms through the tunnel per page open (measured 2026-09-09). Omitting it
is the old answer, unchanged.

`transcript` THEN SAVES THE SECOND ROUND TRIP. Once the payload was small,
the whole cost of opening a chat was that it takes TWO sequential requests
— find the room, then read it — and a phone on the local tunnel pays
~1.2s of latency for each, however few bytes come back. The newest room's
turns ride along on the first answer, so the ordinary open is one request
instead of two.

It is a FAST PATH, never a contract. The turns are attached to the FIRST
row only, and a client that picks a different row simply reads that row's
transcript in the request it would have made anyway — which is also what
a client talking to a backend older than this parameter does.
