# Check a draft App Store listing before it goes to App Store Connect

`POST /apps/{appId}/validate-listing`

## Request

Check a draft App Store listing before it goes to App Store Connect. It reports character limits per field, keyword-field room lost to spaces, repeats, words already in the name or subtitle, the brand and filler words, name/subtitle repeats, Apple product names and price words, whether the text is in the locale's language and script, and which of the app's tracked keywords the draft leaves out. Writes nothing; pass only the fields you want checked.

  - `locale` string: listing locale, e.g. en-US, de-DE, ja
  - `country` string: country whose tracked keywords to check coverage against, e.g. us (defaults to the app's first country)
  - `name` string: app name, up to 30 characters
  - `subtitle` string: subtitle, up to 30 characters
  - `keywords` string: keyword field, comma-separated, up to 100 characters
  - `promotionalText` string: promotional text, up to 170 characters
  - `description` string: description, up to 4000 characters

## Other responses

- `400`: A parameter is missing or malformed.
- `401`: No key, or the key is not valid.
- `402`: This month's credits are used up.
- `403`: The key's plan or scopes do not cover this call.
- `404`: No such app, or Storelift has not measured it yet.
- `429`: Too many requests.
