# Address to stock: what token is this, and whose

`GET /api/addresses.json`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://stocksonchain.io`
- URL: `https://stocksonchain.io/api/addresses.json`
- Auth: none declared

The identity half of an address lookup, for a wallet or an explorer meeting an unknown token. A key is the address exactly as this registry stores it - checksummed mixed case on the EVM chains, base58 on Solana, where case is significant; nothing is lowercased, so lowercase both sides yourself for a case-insensitive EVM lookup. A value is always an ARRAY of listings, because one address can be deployed on more than one chain. Each row is [chainIndex, issuerIndex, ticker, slug, onchainSymbol]; chainIndex and issuerIndex point into the chains and issuers arrays, and field names are in shape. Carries no price, supply, holder count or multiplier - those are one request away at /api/tokens/{slug}.json, and slug is in every row. Use /api/contracts.json for what the CODE at an address is; the two answer different questions.

## Response `200`
