# POST /v1/rights/verify — Check whether an asset is auto-licensable for a given use scope, territory, and term.

`POST /v1/rights/verify`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.stockfilm.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

## Request body

- VerifyRightsRequest: Request body for POST /v1/rights/verify.
  - `asset_id` string, uuid, required: The asset to verify rights for.
  - `intended_use` string, required: The intended use scope (e.g. "commercial", "editorial").
  - `term_end` string, date, nullable: Desired license term end date.
  - `term_start` string, date, nullable: Desired license term start date.
  - `territory` string, nullable: Territory for the intended use (e.g. "US", "worldwide").

- VerifyRightsResponse: Response body for POST /v1/rights/verify.
  - `asset_id` string, uuid, required
  - `confidence` number, float, nullable: Confidence from the matching rights record, if any.
  - `decision` string, required: "eligible", "manual_review_required", or "not_eligible".
  - `matching_rights_id` string, uuid, nullable: The rights record that best matches the request, if any.
