# POST /v1/quotes — Create a price quote for licensing an asset.

`POST /v1/quotes`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.stockfilm.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.stockfilm.com/v1/quotes`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

## Request body

- CreateQuoteRequest: Request body for POST /v1/quotes.
  - `asset_id` string, uuid, required: The asset to quote for licensing.
  - `selected_rail` 'solana_sol' | 'solana_usdc', required: Canonical public payment rail values for API contracts.
  - `term_end` string, date, nullable: Desired license term end date (NULL = perpetual).
  - `term_start` string, date, nullable: Desired license term start date.
  - `territory` string, nullable: Territory for the license (e.g. "worldwide", "US"). Defaults to empty string.
  - `ttl_seconds` integer, nullable: Quote TTL in seconds. Defaults to 3600 (1 hour).
  - `usage_scope` string, required: The intended use scope (e.g. "commercial", "editorial").

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request parameters
- `404`: Asset not found
- `422`: Refused by the sale-mode rights gate (e.g. editorial-only clip requested for commercial use)
