# Update Lead

`PATCH /v1/quote/estimate/{entity_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.steadily.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.steadily.com/v1/quote/estimate/{entity_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in query parameter `X-Steadily-ApiKey`
  - API key in header `X-Steadily-ApiKey`

Add answers to an estimate's prefilled application. Answers left out, or sent as null, keep their earlier value.

## Path parameters

- `entity_id` string, required

## Request body

- ApplicationAnswers: Answers to application questions, prefilled into the application at start_url.
  - `coverage_start` 'TOMORROW' | 'NEXT_WEEK' | 'NEXT_MONTH' | 'NOT_SURE': When the insured plans to start coverage.
  - `insured_status` 'INSURED' | 'NOT_INSURED' | 'NEW_PURCHASE': Whether the property is insured today. NEW_PURCHASE means the insured is buying the property.
  - `uninsured_days` 30 | 31 | 61: How long the property has been without coverage: 30 days or less, 31 to 60 days, or more than 60 days.
  - `claims_count` integer, nullable
  - `claims` ApplicationClaim[], nullable
    - `date_of_loss` string, date, required
    - `loss_reason` 'weather' | 'fire' | 'water_appliance' | 'water' | 'theft' | 'earthquake' | 'liability' | 'medical' | 'other', required
    - `loss_amount_dollars` integer, required
  - `number_of_units` integer, nullable
  - `electrical_plumbing_heating_updated` boolean, nullable

- `404`: No estimate with this id for your API key.
