# List a service's dependencies

`GET /v1/sources/{source}/dependencies`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://statusstack.com/api`
- URL: `https://statusstack.com/api/v1/sources/{source}/dependencies`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

What the service runs on and which services run on it, from StatusStack's dependency intelligence. Only confirmed dependencies at the displayed impact tiers are included, collapsed to one entry per counterpart service (or company, when the vendor named a whole company).

## Path parameters

- `source` string, required

## Response `200`

The service's upstream and downstream dependencies

- object
  - `data` object
    - `runs_on` SourceDependency[]
      - `id` string, uuid: The service's Source id, or the company's id when `type` is `company`
      - `type` 'service' | 'company': `company` when the vendor named a whole company (e.g. "Amazon Web Services") rather than one of its services. Company entries only appear in `runs_on`; `key` is the company page slug, `status` is null and `url` points at the company page.
      - `name` string
      - `key` string
      - `logo_url` string, nullable
      - `status` string, nullable: The counterpart service's current status; always null for a company
      - `impact_tier` 'runtime' | 'supporting' | 'back_office' | 'unknown'
      - `relationships` string[]
      - `purpose` string, nullable
      - `url` string, uri

## Other responses

- `401`: No bearer credentials, or credentials that do not resolve to an API key or Sanctum token. Produced by `ApiAuthentication` ahead of the route, so every operation in the v1 group can return it.
- `403`: The API key lacks the required permission, or a policy denied the action. The two come from different layers and return different bodies, so this is a union rather than one shape.
- `404`: Source not found, or service dependencies are not enabled
