# Current NFL week and its DFS slates

`GET /api/v1/nfl/context`

## Request

The current NFL season, week and phase in US Eastern time, the week's window and games,
and the week's DFS slates with their prize money and largest contest, largest first.
Pass season and week to describe another regular-season week the same way.
Week windows are the ones /api/v1/dfs/slates/seasons publishes: week N runs from the day
after week N-1's last game to week N's last game day, so every slate belongs to one week.
Slates and contests are the ones the public DFS lists serve (no test, cancelled or
excluded-format slate, no cancelled contest).
Flagships (Frank 2026-09-27, the free flagship model): per week and operator, one flagship
contest, chosen by rule without looking at data (DraftKings: the main-slate Millionaire
with the most entries; FanDuel: the main-slate Sunday Million with the most entries;
satellites and qualifiers never count). A week's flagship is null until its contest has a
lineup capsule, and never a substitute. From season 2026 every week's flagship is free for
good: anyone reads its top 100 entries in the Contest Analysis routes, with or without a key. The
2021-2025 archive names its flagships with free false (the Pro product).
