# Create a refund using a Terminal-supported device.

`POST /v1/terminal/refunds`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.stripe.com`
- URL: `https://api.stripe.com/v1/terminal/refunds`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP basic
  - HTTP bearer

Internal endpoint for terminal use to create a refund for a card\_present or card charge.

You can optionally refund only part of a charge.

## Response `200`

Successful response.

- TerminalRefund: A Refund object returned by the Terminal refunds API.

## Other responses

- `default`: Error response.
