# Delete a sync

`DELETE /v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/bases/{base_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.stacksync.com`
- URL: `https://api.stacksync.com/v1/workspaces/{workspace_id}/bases/{base_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Switch the sync off and delete it. Its data in both apps is kept; the sync's own storage is cleaned up in the background. The sync can no longer be read or listed.

## Path parameters

- `workspace_id` integer, required
- `base_id` string, uuid, required

## Query parameters

- `region` 'besg' | 'usnv', required

## Response `200`

The sync deleted

- DeletedSyncResponse: The deleted sync
  - `data` DeletedSync, required: The deleted sync
    - `base_id` string, uuid, required: The sync

## Other responses

- `400`: The `region` is missing or not one of besg, usnv; `base_id` is not a UUID; the sync could not be marked deleted (`Error setting base status to removed`)
- `403`: Forbidden: invalid API key, API key of another workspace, insufficient scope, workspace unavailable, or a non-GET request without `Content-Type: application/json`
- `404`: No sync with this id exists in the workspace (`Base not found`)
