# Set the default visibility for new boards (paid tiers)

`POST /v1/account/visibility`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.stackdata.io`
- URL: `https://api.stackdata.io/v1/account/visibility`
- Auth: one of:
  - none
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Sets the account-wide default visibility applied to newly created boards. Only meaningful
on paid tiers — free-tier boards are always public regardless of this setting.

- `400`: Invalid visibility, or caller is a free/anonymous account.
