# Submit a buy trade

`POST /money/trades/buy`

## Request

Buys an eligible asset using the signed-in member’s current business permissions and financial controls. Amount is in USDC. For a fund, supply the quote’s price_per_unit as quoted_price_per_unit. Immediate execution checks the current NAV; an approval-pending request instead uses a fresh checker quote when approved.

An applicable approval requirement returns outcome=approval_pending and a transfer_approval without booking a movement. Otherwise outcome=created includes the movement and transaction. Requires an Idempotency-Key; duplicates return 409 rather than a cached response. Preserve the original key and reconcile the outcome before another submission.
