# Offer a file to joined peers (in-session transfer; for public download links use /quick-share or /pubshare)

`POST /send`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://127.0.0.1:3822`
- URL: `http://127.0.0.1:3822/send`
- Auth: none required

Note: requires the local SRIFT daemon (http://127.0.0.1:3822) — filesystem access to `filePath` is not available on the public https://srift.app host.

## Request body

- object
  - `filePath` string, required
  - `protocol` 'websocket' | 'webtorrent': Transport. Default: the end-to-end sealed relay ('websocket'), which carries every size. 'webtorrent' is honoured only when the network diagnosis shows peer connections work and SRIFT_DISABLE_WEBTORRENT is not set; otherwise the relay is used.
