# Check WhatsApp Groups API eligibility

`GET /v2/groups/eligibility`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.spurnow.com`
- URL: `https://api.spurnow.com/v2/groups/eligibility`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Checks each fully connected WhatsApp number in the workspace against Meta's read-only groups endpoint. Results are cached per number. Error 131215 is ineligible; transient failures use a stale result when available.

## Response `200`

- GroupEligibilityResponseDto
  - `eligible` boolean, required: True when at least one connected WhatsApp number in the workspace is eligible.
  - `channels` GroupChannelEligibilityDto[], required
    - `channelId` number, required: Connected WhatsApp conversation channel id.
    - `eligible` boolean, required: True only when Meta confirms this phone number holds Official Business Account status, which is what gates Groups API access.
    - `obaStatus` string: Status of an OBA application submitted through the API (e.g. NOT_STARTED, PENDING, APPROVED, REJECTED). Informational only — numbers granted OBA in WhatsApp Manager still report NOT_STARTED, so never use this to decide eligibility.
