# Select a generation variation to save as a Sprite

`POST /v1/generations/select`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sprixen.com`
- URL: `https://api.sprixen.com/v1/generations/select`
- Auth: `bearer` (a scheme the document does not define)

## Request body

- SelectVariationDto
  - `generationId` string, required: ID of the Generation to select a variation from
  - `variationId` string, required: ID of the specific variation (resultUrl index) to select
  - `spriteName` string, required: Name to give the new Sprite record

## Response `201`

Sprite created from selected variation

## Other responses

- `403`: Access denied
- `404`: Generation not found
