# Rotate a sprite to 8 directions

`POST /api/rotations`

## Request

Turn one still sprite you own into a strip of 8 facings (S, SE, E, NE, N, NW, W, SW) with the same character and palette. Synchronous, about a minute. Costs 12 tokens.

  - `public` boolean

## Response `201`

The 8-direction strip.

- `400`: The request failed validation.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `402`: Not enough tokens.
- `403`: The API key is revoked or expired.
- `404`: Not found, or not yours.
- `429`: Rate limited. Retry after the Retry-After header.
- `500`: Generation failed. Tokens are refunded.
