# Stop following a show

`DELETE /following/{podcastId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://spoken.md`
- URL: `https://spoken.md/following/{podcastId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

Mutes the show: it leaves your follows and is not re-added by later fetches. PUT /following/{podcastId} reverses it. Charges nothing.

## Response `200`

Muted: the show no longer appears in your follows and is not re-added by later fetches

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `404`: You are not following that show (error code `not_following`)
