# Update a day

`PATCH /days/{day}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.splot.health/v1`
- URL: `https://app.splot.health/v1/days/{day}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Marks a day as fully or partly logged, or clears the mark. Its meals don't change.

## Request body

- DayChange
  - `logging` 'complete' | 'partial', nullable, required: `partial` when some of what you ate that day isn't logged, `complete` when all of it is, or `null` to clear the mark.

## Response `200`

The day after the change.

- Day
  - `day` string, date, required: The calendar day.
  - `logging` 'complete' | 'partial', nullable, required: `partial` when some of what was eaten that day isn't logged, so its totals are only a lower bound; `complete` when all of it is; `null` when unmarked.

## Other responses

- `400`: The body or query is invalid; `issues` says which fields. Or the body is not valid JSON.
- `401`: The key is missing, revoked or expired.
- `403`: The key's permission doesn't allow this request, or you haven't yet agreed to how Splot handles health information.
- `429`: Too many requests. Wait for `Retry-After` seconds.
