# Create a savings goal

`POST /personal-finance/goals`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:3001`
- URL: `http://localhost:3001/personal-finance/goals`
- Auth: `bearer` (a scheme the document does not define)

## Request body

- CreateSavingsGoalDto
  - `name` string, required: Goal name
  - `description` string: Goal description
  - `targetAmount` number, required: Target amount
  - `currency` string, required: Currency for this goal (only contributions in this currency count)
  - `currentAmount` number: Current amount saved (defaults to 0)
  - `deadline` string: Deadline (YYYY-MM-DD)
  - `color` string: Color hex code
  - `icon` string: Icon name (Lucide icon)
  - `isActive` boolean: Whether the goal is active

## Response `201`

Goal created
