# Update a goal

`PUT /personal-finance/goals/{id}`

## Request

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- UpdateSavingsGoalDto
  - `name` string: Goal name
  - `description` string: Goal description
  - `targetAmount` number: Target amount
  - `currency` string: Currency for this goal (only contributions in this currency count)
  - `currentAmount` number: Current amount saved (defaults to 0)
  - `deadline` string: Deadline (YYYY-MM-DD)
  - `color` string: Color hex code
  - `icon` string: Icon name (Lucide icon)
  - `isActive` boolean: Whether the goal is active

## Response `200`

Goal updated

## Other responses

- `404`: Goal not found
