--- title: "Create investor" method: POST path: "/v1/investors" tags: ["Investors"] --- # Create investor `POST /v1/investors` ## Request - Base URL: `https://distributor-api.spiko.io` - URL: `https://distributor-api.spiko.io/v1/investors` - Auth: HTTP basic - TypeScript: (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema) **Register a new investor with the platform.** - The investor is always created with status `pending-onboarding-workflow` while compliance checks (PEP/sanctions screening) run asynchronously. - Once checks complete successfully, the investor is automatically transitioned to `active` (if the distributor has KYC reliance enabled). The distributor is notified of the status change via webhook. **Tax residence:** - **Individual** investors must provide a `taxIdentificationNumber` for every country of tax residence outside France. **Related persons requirements:** - Each related person must include `dateOfBirth`, `nationality`, and `countryOfResidence` (required for compliance screening). - **Organization** investors must provide all their UBOs and directors. FR organizations are exempt (persons are automatically fetched from INPI), unless the distributor operates under a **KYC reliance agreement with Spiko** in which case all UBOs and directors must be provided regardless of country. - For **passive NFE** investors (`fatcaCrsStatus: "passiveNFE"`), non-FR UBOs must include a `fiscalIdentificationNumber`. **FATCA/CRS status:** - Organization investors must provide a `fatcaCrsStatus` in the `details` object.
