# Delete a project monitor

`DELETE /v1/projects/{projectId}/monitors/{alertId}`

## Request

Soft-deletes a project monitor and tears down the monitor it provisioned. Requires `monitors:write`.

Monitor deleted

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid project or monitor ID
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Insufficient scope
- `404`: Project or monitor not found
- `500`: Internal server error
- `502`: Failed to delete monitor
