# Remove a verification method

`DELETE /identifiers/{did}/verification-methods/{methodId}`

Removes the verification method from the DID and drops relationship
bindings that point at it.

## Parameters

- `./common-components.yml#/components/parameters/CorrelationId` — unresolved $ref

## Response `204`

Verification method deleted successfully.
