# Remove a key mapping

`DELETE /identifiers/{did}/key-mappings/{mappingId}`

Removes one local KMS key mapping by its mapping id. This does not
remove the verification method from the DID document.

## Parameters

- `./common-components.yml#/components/parameters/CorrelationId` — unresolved $ref

## Response `204`

Key mapping deleted successfully.
