# Update seat count

`PUT /v1/teams/seats`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.speedify.com`
- URL: `https://api.speedify.com/v1/teams/seats`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP basic

Change the number of seats available to your team. Note that this will result in a change in billing price. The quantity cannot be lower than the current number of members. If the requested quantity matches the current count, no change is made.

## Request body

- object
  - `type` string: Set to "headless" for headless seat type
  - `quantity` integer, required: Desired number of seats

## Response `200`

Seat count updated

- SeatsResponse
  - `quantity` integer: The new seat count

## Other responses

- `400`: Request validation failed
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Valid API key but insufficient permissions
- `429`: Too many members for the requested seat count
- `500`: Internal server error
