# Get the Slack installation

`GET /slack-installation`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.spectate.net/v1`
- URL: `https://api.spectate.net/v1/slack-installation`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns the Slack workspace connected to the team, whose ID a `slack` channel needs.
Connecting a workspace happens in the dashboard, under Integrations. Without one the request
fails with `404` `SLACK_NOT_CONNECTED`.

## Response `200`

The connected Slack workspace.

- SlackInstallation: The Slack workspace connected to the team. Its bot token is never returned.
  - `id` string, uuid, required: Installation ID, for `slack.installation_id` of a channel
  - `workspace_id` string, required: The workspace's ID in Slack
  - `workspace_name` string, nullable, required: The workspace's name in Slack
  - `active` boolean, required: False once the app was removed from Slack or its token revoked. Channels can't be created until someone reconnects it
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required: When the workspace was connected

## Other responses

- `401`: `UNAUTHENTICATED`: no token was sent. `INVALID_TOKEN`: the token is unknown or revoked. `TOKEN_EXPIRED`: the token has expired.
- `403`: `FORBIDDEN`: the token lacks an ability this endpoint requires (listed in `details.required_abilities`). `TEAM_PENDING_DELETION`: the team is scheduled for deletion. `TEAM_SUSPENDED`: Spectate suspended the team.
- `404`: `SLACK_NOT_CONNECTED`: no Slack workspace is connected to the team.
- `429`: `RATE_LIMITED`: too many requests for this token. Wait for the number of seconds in `Retry-After`.
