# Delete a version

`DELETE /v1/spaces/{spaceId}/versions/{versionId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.spacefast.com`

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Permanently deletes a version and its files. Versions referenced by a channel cannot be deleted; promote another version first. A publishing API key without version-administration permission may delete only versions that same key created.

## Response `204`

The version was deleted.
