# Update the authenticated user's dashboard preferences

`PATCH /v1/me/dashboard-preferences`

## Request

Merges the body into the stored preference bag key by key and returns the full result. A key set to `null` is deleted; keys you omit are left alone. Read the current bag from `GET /v1/me`.

## Request body

- object: Preference keys to merge into the stored bag. A key set to `null` is deleted; every other key is overwritten. Keys you do not send are left alone.

  - `data` object, required: Per-user dashboard preferences as an open key/value bag. Values are arbitrary JSON; each dashboard surface owns the meaning of its own key.
