# Resolve a game name to a slug. Free.

Free and unauthenticated. Returns games matching a name with their slug, release date and type — no prices and no store identifiers. Call this first when you hold a title but no identifier, then pass the slug to /v1/game. Matching folds case, punctuation, diacritics, alternate titles and abbreviations. 13,604 titles in the catalogue are duplicated, so release date and type are what distinguish them.
