# ISWC lookup

`GET /v1/tracks/iswc`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sonovault.now`
- URL: `https://api.sonovault.now/v1/tracks/iswc`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Find the ISWC(s), the work/composition codes, for a recording, by ISRC or Sonovault track ID. Provide exactly one of isrc or id. A recording can carry several ISWCs (medleys, samples). ISWCs are sourced from the MLC and are not part of the standard track payload.

## Query parameters

- `isrc` string
- `id` integer

## Response `200`

Successful response

- object
  - `sonovault_id` integer, required: Sonovault track ID of the recording you looked up.
  - `isrc` string, nullable, required: The recording's ISRC. `null` when you looked up by `id` and no ISRC is known.
  - `iswcs` Iswc[], required: Every composition code attached to the recording. More than one means a medley or a sampled work. Empty array when the recording has no ISWC.
    - `iswc` string, required: ISWC, `T` followed by 10 digits.
    - `title` string, required: The work title as registered, which can differ from the recording's title.
