# Recordings by ISWC

`GET /v1/tracks/iswc/{iswc}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sonovault.now`
- URL: `https://api.sonovault.now/v1/tracks/iswc/{iswc}`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Reverse lookup: every recording of a composition, by ISWC. The ISWC is part of the path; human-readable separators (T-070142799-7) are accepted. Recordings are returned most-popular-first, each with a representative ISRC; total is the full count even when limit truncates the page.

## Path parameters

- `iswc` string, required

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer

## Response `200`

Successful response

- object
  - `iswc` string, required: The composition code you looked up, normalised.
  - `title` string, nullable, required: The work title as registered. `null` when the ISWC matches nothing.
  - `total` integer, required: Total recordings of this work, which can exceed the number returned when `limit` truncates the page.
  - `recordings` IswcRecording[], required: Recordings of the work, most popular first.
    - `sonovault_id` integer, required: Sonovault track ID of the recording.
    - `isrc` string, nullable, required: One representative ISRC for the recording. `null` when none is known.
    - `title` string, required: Recording title, including any version suffix.
    - `artist` string, required: Primary artist name, as a plain string on this endpoint rather than the usual nested object.
