# Release search

`GET /v1/releases/search`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sonovault.now`
- URL: `https://api.sonovault.now/v1/releases/search`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Search for releases by title, optionally filtered by artist.

## Query parameters

- `title` string, required
- `artist` string
- `limit` integer
- `cursor` string

## Response `200`

Successful response

- object
  - `results` Release[], required: Matching releases. `catalog_no` and `track_count` are omitted here; fetch a release by ID for those.
    - `id` integer, required: Release ID.
    - `title` string, required: Release title.
    - `artist` ArtistRef: A minimal artist reference. Artists are always nested objects on the public API, never a flat `artist_name` column.
      - `id` integer, required: Artist ID.
      - `name` string, required: Artist name.
    - `label` LabelRef, required: A minimal label reference.
      - `id` integer, required: Label ID.
      - `name` string, required: Label name.
    - `release_date` string, nullable, required: Release date, `YYYY-MM-DD`. `null` when unknown.
    - `catalog_no` string, nullable: The label's catalog number for the release. `null` when unknown.
    - `track_count` integer: Number of tracks on the release.
  - `next_cursor` string, nullable, required: Pass back as the `cursor` param for the next page. `null` on the last page.
