# skipToPreviousTrack

`POST /groups/{groupId}/playback/skipToPreviousTrack`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.ws.sonos.com/control/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.ws.sonos.com/control/api/v1/groups/{groupId}/playback/skipToPreviousTrack`
- Auth: OAuth 2 and HTTP bearer and API key in header `X-Sonos-Api-Key`
  - Authorization code: `https://api.sonos.com/login/v3/oauth`
  - Token URL: `https://api.sonos.com/login/v3/oauth/access` scopes: `playback-control-all`

Use the skipToPreviousTrack command in the playback namespace to skip to the previous track.

 Not all audio sources allow multiple tracks. For example, when a group is streaming an Internet radio station, there is no previous track to skip to. If you send a skipToPreviousTrack command when the audio source does not support multiple tracks, your app will receive an ERROR_PLAYBACK_FAILED, but audio will continue playing.

## Response `200`

- Ok: This object represents an empty (default) success. The platform returns an empty object ({}).

- `500`: Sonos has experience an unexpected condition it is unable to recover from
- `503`: Player is unable to reach the service.
