# Delete Org

`DELETE /v1/orgs/{org_id}`

Owner-only soft-delete of an org + cascade.

Guard-rail: an org that is still being billed cannot be deleted → 409
`active_subscription`; cancel or downgrade to Free first. "Billed" spans the
main plan (`plan != free` with a LIVE Stripe/MoR sub) AND any active paid
add-on (feedback / in-context).
Otherwise the org is soft-deleted and cascaded (projects soft-deleted,
pending invitations revoked, dedicated Bunny zones deprovisioned). The
definitive purge of keys/translations/releases + membership rows runs in a
background job. Success = 204.
