- AgentPatchIn: PARTIAL update. An omitted field is UNCHANGED, never cleared — the editor does not need to send the whole object back (that is PUT semantics). `extra="forbid"` rejects unknown fields with 422 instead of ignoring them: a silently dropped field is how an editor believes it saved something it did not.
