# Delete Org

`DELETE /api/orgs/{slug}`

Delete an organization. Owner only, and only once it holds no apps.

This is the way OUT of an organization for its owner. An owner cannot
simply leave — that would strand the org with nobody able to pay for it,
manage its apps, or even receive its billing mail — so the choice is to
hand ownership to someone else or to delete the organization outright.
