# Name Available

`GET /api/apps/name-available`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://softkiln.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Pre-flight for create_app: is this app name free? Use before create_app
(the UI checks it on the name field). When taken, `existing` carries the
app_id + provisioning_status — a failed/incomplete app can be recovered via
POST /apps/{app_id}/resume instead of being recreated under a new name.

Registered before GET /{name} so the static path isn't shadowed by the
{name} param.
