# Update repository

`POST /orgs/{org_slug}/repos/{repo_slug}`

Update details of an existing repository.

This endpoint consumes 1 unit of your quota.

This endpoint requires the following org token scopes:
- repo:update

- `repo_slug` string, required

  - `description` string, nullable — The description of the repository
  - `homepage` string, nullable — The homepage URL of the repository
  - `visibility` 'public' | 'private' — The visibility of the repository
  - `archived` boolean — Whether the repository is archived or not
  - `default_branch` string, nullable — The default branch of the repository
  - `workspace` string — The workspace of the repository
