# Build a dossier for a username

`POST /dossiers`

## Request

A deeper pass than search_username: every claimed profile is read for the details it publishes (names, locations, avatars, bios, other identifiers and the usernames it links to), and those are collected into one report. Answers 202 with a job; the per-site rows are its hits and the report is its summary.

## Request body

- object
  - `username` string, required: The handle to build the dossier around.
  - `depth` 'top500' | 'all': top500 covers the highest-ranked sites; all covers the whole upstream database and takes several minutes.
  - `recursion` boolean: Follow usernames the claimed profiles link to, inside the same run. Turn it off for a narrower, faster dossier.
  - `includeNsfw` boolean: Include adult sites. Requires a plan that allows them.
  - `includeUnreliable` boolean: Also check sites the upstream database has marked unreliable.

- `400`: VALIDATION_ERROR / INVALID_TARGET / SSRF_BLOCKED: the issues, never the values.
- `401`: UNAUTHORIZED / INVALID_TOKEN: the key is missing or wrong.
- `402`: PAYMENT_REQUIRED / PLAN_GATE: clears by upgrading or buying credits, never by waiting.
- `429`: RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED / QUOTA_EXCEEDED: Retry-After says when it clears.
- `default`: Any other failure.
