# Platform status & circuit state

`GET /status`

## Request

Returns the operational status of every platform, the current upstream-version distribution, and a timestamp. A platform is degraded or down when its circuit breaker is open, or when at least half (degraded) or 90% (down) of the last 30 minutes of calls to one of its endpoints failed upstream (minimum 3 calls); the failing endpoints are listed under that platform. Public meta route - no API key, no credit cost, no upstream call. Use it to check a platform's health before retrying persistent 502s.

- object
  - `status` 'operational' | 'degraded', required: Overall API status across all platforms.
  - `platforms` object, required: Per-platform status keyed by platform name (operational / degraded / down), with the failing endpoints listed when one is the cause.
  - `upstreamVersions` object: Current upstream-version distribution (RTG-02) - lets operators track drift as upstreams deprecate versions.
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: When this status snapshot was generated.

## Other responses

- `500`: Internal server error - an immediate refund is attempted; credits_used reports the committed net charge and exact compensation is queued if that refund cannot commit
