# Get engagement trend over time.

`GET /insights/accounts/engagement/trend`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://socialbu.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://socialbu.com/api/v1/insights/accounts/engagement/trend`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Returns the daily total engagements for Analytics-permitted accounts within the specified date range. Optionally restrict results to selected accounts; inaccessible account IDs are rejected.

Uses the same engagement metric types as `/insights/accounts/engagement/rate`:
`likes`, `comments`, `reactions`, `shares`, `replies`, `retweets`, `quote_tweets`,
`reblogs`, `favourites`, `total_interactions`, `score`, `saved`, `reposts`, `quotes`,
`pin_clicks`, `bookmarks`.

Data is aggregated from post metrics across all networks that support post-level tracking:
**Facebook Page**, **Instagram**, **Twitter/X**, **LinkedIn** (Org, Brand, Profile),
**YouTube**, **Pinterest**, **Threads**, **Bluesky**, **Mastodon**, **Reddit**.
TikTok and Google Business Location do not contribute (no post metrics tracked).

## Query parameters

- `start` string, date, required: Format should be Y-m-d
- `end` string, date, required: Format should be Y-m-d. Must be on or after start date.
- `accounts` integer[]

## Response `200`

successful operation

- object
  - `data` object[]: An array of daily engagement data.
    - `date` string, date: The specific date for which the engagement is reported.
    - `engagements` integer: Total number of engagements (likes, comments, shares, etc.) across all accounts on this date.
  - `last_fetched_at` string, date-time, nullable: When the underlying engagement metrics were last fetched, or null if none have been fetched.

## Other responses

- `404`: Resource not found
- `422`: Validation error
