# Verify a destination

`POST /composer-platform-parts/destinations/{accountId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.sociahive.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://www.sociahive.com/api/v1/composer-platform-parts/destinations/{accountId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `/api/oauth/authorize`, token URL `/api/oauth/token`, scopes: `posts:read`)

Check a destination the user typed (for `manual` platforms, e.g. a channel username) on the platform. Returns the one destination with its id and label; a destination the account cannot post to is a 400 (`invalid_destination`).

- `accountId` string, required: MongoDB ObjectId (24-character hex string)

    - `mode` 'list' | 'manual', required: `list`: pick one of `destinations`. `manual`: the platform cannot list them; POST what the user typed to verify it.
    - `destinations` PlatformDestination[], required
      - `id` string, required: Stored as the target's `metadata.destination_id`.
      - `label` string, required: Stored as `metadata.destination_label`.
      - `description` string

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request — invalid parameters
- `401`: Authentication required — provide X-API-Key or Bearer token
- `403`: Insufficient scope for this operation
- `404`: Account not found, or its platform has no destinations (`not_found`, `no_destinations`)
- `409`: The account's sign-in expired or was revoked: reconnect it (`reauth_required`)
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
- `500`: Internal server error
- `502`: The platform could not be reached (`unavailable`)
