# Delete the generated sitemap

`DELETE /v3/sitemaps/generate`

Deletes the sitemap SnowSEO generated for this team and takes down its hosted copy. This is DESTRUCTIVE and outward-facing - any search engine using the public URL will start getting a 404 - so confirm with the user first. Source sitemaps the team tracks are untouched.
