# Change the link text of a suggestion

`PATCH /v3/site-linking/suggestions/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.snowseo.com`
- URL: `https://api.snowseo.com/v3/site-linking/suggestions/{id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `x-api-key`

Changes which words on the source page a suggested link uses. The new text must already appear on the source page as plain text, 3 to 80 characters, and not be part of an existing link; otherwise this returns 400. Returns the text as found on the page and the sentence around it. Free, and does not edit the live site.

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `teamId` string, required: SnowSEO team ID. Call list_teams first to choose a team.
  - `anchorText` string, required: Words copied exactly from the source page.
