# Generate a signed screenshot URL

`POST /v1/screenshot/sign`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.snap-render.com`
- URL: `https://app.snap-render.com/v1/screenshot/sign`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Creates a pre-signed URL that captures a screenshot when visited. The signed URL can be used without an API key, making it ideal for embedding in emails, documents, or sharing with third parties. Signing is free and does not count against your quota. Each render of the signed URL consumes one credit. URLs are tamper-proof and expire after the specified duration.

## Request body

- object
  - `url` string, required: URL to capture (must be http or https)
  - `expires_in` integer: URL validity in seconds (default: 86400 = 1 day, max: 2592000 = 30 days)
  - `format` 'png' | 'jpeg' | 'webp' | 'pdf': Output format (default: png)
  - `width` integer: Viewport width (default: 1280)
  - `height` integer: Viewport height (default: 800)
  - `full_page` boolean: Capture entire page (default: false)
  - `quality` integer: Image quality (default: 90)
  - `delay` integer: Wait after load in ms (default: 0)
  - `dark_mode` boolean: Dark mode (default: false)
  - `block_ads` boolean: Block ads (default: true)
  - `block_cookie_banners` boolean: Remove cookie banners (default: true)
  - `device` 'iphone_14' | 'iphone_15_pro' | 'pixel_7' | 'ipad_pro' | 'macbook_pro'
  - `hide_selectors` string: CSS selectors to hide
  - `click_selector` string: CSS selector to click
  - `user_agent` string: Custom user agent

## Response `200`

Signed URL generated

  - `signed_url` string: The pre-signed render URL
  - `expires_at` string, date-time: When the URL expires
  - `expires_in` integer: Validity duration in seconds

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid parameters or blocked URL
- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
