# Check one-click DNS setup for a link domain

`GET /v1/link-domains/{id}/domain-connect`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Whether the link domain's DNS provider can add its CNAME record through Domain Connect, the open standard behind one-click DNS setup. Not in Resend. Requires the domain:read scope; 30 checks per 10 minutes per team.

## Response `200`

Whether one-click setup is available

- LinkDomainConnectCheck
  - `available` boolean, required: Whether the DNS provider can add the CNAME record in one click through Domain Connect.
  - `provider` string, nullable, required: The DNS provider, when discovery found one.
  - `reason` string, nullable, required: Why one-click setup is not available, when it is not.

## Other responses

- `401`: Invalid or missing API key
- `403`: Forbidden - domain not verified or insufficient permissions
- `404`: Resource not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded - retry after the period indicated in the Retry-After header
- `500`: Internal server error
