# Resume an agent.

`POST /v1/agents/{name}/resume`

Starts a paused agent's machine from its checkpoint. Requires the `machine:create` scope.

- `name` string, required

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key
- `403`: Key lacks the required scope
- `404`: Not found
- `429`: Rate limited; retry after the Retry-After header
- `500`: Internal error
