# Resend sign-in credentials

`POST /users/{id}/invite`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.smokeball.com`
- URL: `https://api.smokeball.com/users/{id}/invite`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key` and API key in header `Authorization`

Sends a new temporary password to an existing login. It does not invite a person to join a firm.

The user must exist and belong to the specified account when specifying id.
Optionally resend credentials using an email address instead of a user id. Use a default id of all zeros when posting an email address payload.
Email address credential resends are only available to client credential grants.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- InviteUserDto
  - `email` string, required: Invite user by email address.

## Response `200`

When the credential resend is accepted. Returns no content.

## Other responses

- `400`: When an unsupported request is made.
- `403`: When the user is not associated to the specified account.
