# Get a matter stage information

`GET /matters/{matterId}/stages`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.smokeball.com`
- URL: `https://api.smokeball.com/matters/{matterId}/stages`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key` and API key in header `Authorization`

Returns the specified matters stage information.

## Path parameters

- `matterId` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

When request is successful. Returns a 'MatterStage' object.

- MatterStage: Contains the current stage of the matter.

    - `isDeleted` boolean: True when the stage is deleted.
    - `lastUpdated` integer: Timestamp when the stage was last updated.
  - `lastUpdated` integer: Timestamp when the matter stage was last updated.

## Other responses

- `400`: When an unsupported request is made.
- `403`: When the matter stage is not associated with the authenticated client.
- `404`: When matter stage information with specified matter id does not exist.
